IF YOU ARE A CIVIL ENFORCEMENT OFFICER PISS OFF | HOW YOU CAN HELP ON THE DAY |
INTRODUCTION |
PACKING:- Put heavy items like books in smaller boxes so they can be lifted easily! Soft items like bedding EXCLUSIVELY in bin liner bags. They can fill gaps when loading and an be rolled down stairs or thrown up single flights.
LOADING :- Best to load in this order:- Furniture; anything cuboid like big boxes; suitcases and rucksacks etc.; Long and/or flat items (like pictures) and fragile items last. Soft items fill useful spaces. Making things reachable in loading order beforehand really helps..... we got it sussed. Also, if loading in a relay, placing heavy boxes above ground level for the next person saves a lot of back ache. With lifts the van or goods cannot even be left unattended due to pikeys and parking issues. |
